Neopets Newbie Tips

 Congratulations on becoming a parent !!! The responsibility is almost the same as a real child without it being stuck to you on a 24 hrs basis (literally) but warning, it can be very additive.

You are your very own entrepreneur who's goal ( for most people) is to have the happiest, strongest, healthiest, best looking pet(s) around. To have a very stable bank account and to get your hands on the coolest things you can.

First move for every new owner of a pet is to open a shop. Coz only a shop will help you make the nps you want to make. Then, you can follow the below tips to continue to your ultimate goal (which can be endless).

 


IMPORTANT: Most important to know while playing neopets is...

-- Never never, under any circumstances, give out your password to anybody who claims they can make you rich or anything of that sort. Its a SCAM !!!

-- And if you are using a PUBLIC COMPUTER or login at your friend's house. ALWAYS LOG OUT. If you are unsure, ALWAYS BE SAFE. Clear your cookies to be doubly sure!

-- I suggest not to choose your password based on anything information you tell anybody. For example, your name, your pet's name, fav. color, birthdate, etc. Choose something out of the blue with alphabets numbers and $%^&*$ symbols. Write it down on a piece of paper and stick it in front of your computer if you are afraid to forget it.

--NEVER NEVER NEVER go back to an old magic word. Always opt for a new one.

-- Do not give your email address or its password out to anybody you do not know or not sure of. They can get into your email account and retrieve your neopet's password. Its a SCAM!!!

-- If you want somebody to look after your pets, send them to the Neolodge in Pet Central. You just pay a little but it will be looked after if you are going to be away for a few days :)


Scammers, Hackers, Cheaters, Scumbags, whatever you might call them, they are all the same. Unfortunately, some innocent member one day will be the target and pop goes all their items and hard earned nps...so its BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY :):) We will do everything to remind you but its all up to you to keep yourself safe from these so called Scammers !

 

PET SICKNESS - If your pet gets a disease DON'T bother spending any nps to heal them. Go to the HEALING SPRINGS in Faerie land. She will Heal your pets for you. Keep going every 20 minutes or so if she don't heal at the first try. Cost = Free

FEEDING PETS - Is your pets food costs rendering your budget?? Don't use your nps to feed them.
Go to HEALING SPRINGS - She will fill your pets to bloated - Never pay to feed your pets again.
Or just go to the Giant Omelette and Giant Jelly. You are entitled to 1 free of each a day. Cost = Free

HIT POINTS - Got finished fighting in the battle dome ?? Pets hit points is low??
Go to the HEALING SPRINGS - She will refill some or all your hit points in your pet(s)
Go again every 20 mins. or so, if she didn't fill them up the first time. Cost = Free

EXTRA NPS - Open a bank account.
Make sure that, everyday, you go to your bank account to collect your interest for the day.

NORMAL FAERIE QUESTS - If you get a random faerie quest, here are some tips for you

  • The Light Faerie requires Collectible Cards and will raise your pet's level.

  • The Earth Faerie requires certain magic potions and will feed your pets to full and regain all their lost hps to full.
    (Try not to do her quest as the items she requires can be really expensive sometimes)

  • The Air Faerie requires certain beauty products to make her more radiant & in return she will raise your pets speed.

  • The Dark Faerie requires a model or toy and she will increase your pet's health points in return.

  • The Water Faerie requires books and will raise your pet's defence.

  • The Fire Faerie requires clothing and in return raise your pet's strength.

  • The Faerie Queen appears on rare occasions, asks for something expensive but raises all your pet's stats by several points.

    "FREE STUFF"
    There is a few ways to get free stuff such as np and items. One is to sign up with sponsors. You can find these offers all over the Neopets site. And, you can get over 5000np from these offers. Most offers will be posted in your inventory.

    TOMBOLA- You can go there only once every 24 hrs. If you are lucky, you can get nps, faeries, codestones, etc.

    COLTZAN'S SHRINE- If you are lucky here, you can get a faerie, codestone, doubloon coins, nps, or even have your pet's stats raised.

    FRUIT MACHINE - Here you can get nps, desert fruits or some other valuable items.

    GIANT JELLY - Get a free jelly once a day-can be eaten twice.

    OMELETTE - Get a free omelet once a day-can be eaten thrice.

    HEALING SPRINGS- This place will keep you from ever spending on feeding, healing, or regaining your pets hit points. If your pet has a disease go here don't spend tons on curing your pets. If she doesn't heal your pet the first time go back in 30 min. She will by the 2nd or 3rd time.

    SNOWAGER- You can only get items while he sleeps - Times are between 6-7 am, 2-3 pm, 10-11 pm neopian standard time. But be warned it can also hurt your pets!! This can only be done between hours listed.

     

    "EASY NP MAKING HINTS"

     Wheel of Excitement - 100nps/spin. One spin per 2 hours. If you are really really lucky, you can get 10,000nps. from a spin.

    Wheel of Mediocrity - 50nps/spin. One spin every 40 mins. If you are lucky, you can get 1000nps. or a rare item.

    Scratchcard - 600nps per card. One buy every 6 hours. I don't know about others, but I seem to have luck on this one. I get 5000-10000nps most of the time.

    Stockmarket - If you have about 15000nps. to spare, invest in the stock market. Buy the ones which have lost about 25-30% (limit of 1000shares per day). Sell the stock when its making a profit of about 50-60% (approx. 7000-8000nps.). Sometimes, you have to wait for a few days before it rises but it's worth the wait.

    Employment Agency - Try and do the basic jobs. Look for the high paying ones. Here are the timings for basic jobs to come out.

    Play games -
    A few of the below games will help u make a decent amount of nps. Get more tips for some of these games at our section "Some Neopet Game Solutions".

    Pyramids - 50np per play and get up to 2500np a day (approx. time 7 mins)

    Scarab 21 - 50np per play and get up to 2500np a day (approx. time 10-15 mins.)

    Solitaire - 50np per play and get up to 2500nps a day (approx. time 7 mins.)

    Cliffhanger - 150np per game - No limit. (approx. time 2 mins)

    Kiko Match - 400 plus np - great game - easy and quick way to get np - can make np only 3 times a day.

    Cheat - Warning ! This can take very long but you can get battlecards and even a trophy if you win.

    Neggsweeper - Just like the game "minesweeper". Also an easy np making game. 30np per play get up to 3000nps a day. (approx. time 3-5 mins.)
