Listed here are Neopets' Gallery Spotlight winners, starting with the
most recent.
This was composed to help you decide what type of gallery you want to do (or not to do). They all have the proper Neopets' numbers to assist you in finding the gallery you are interested in (beating).
Take note, there are NO one color galleries & only 2 rainbow types.
I have underlined those
galleries who's themes were repeated. Don't let anyone tell you "it has already been done". Just because it has,
doesn't mean you can't put a better one together and win.
As I was looking over the different entries
I noticed it wasn't always the amount in the gallery or the way it was decorated. Sure they help but it was the
story/ description that seams to catch TNT's eye. This is just my observation, you can check
it out yourself.

"Completeness is a relative term when it comes to galleries. For example, a bobblehead gallery is limited to very few items, since there aren't that many in existence, so missing one or two is pretty complete. However, if you collect something crazy like yellow items, 350 items is not nearly enough items to come even close to complete. Again, it's all relative.
When judging and looking for something specific to match, say, a Neopet birthday or theme day, we look for several things: how complete it is (compared to both total number of items and relative to other entries), how well designed it is, and extra points for creativity regarding the items you chose to collect. (While "Yellow Things" would be a HUGE gallery, collecting things like "Toys My Neopet Has Broken" is much more creative and different.)
Things that may harm your chances of your gallery being chosen are: items not associated with the gallery theme floating around in it, sloppiness with the layout, and blaring colour combinations that make our judges want to claw their eyes out. (Psst... that last one goes for most spotlights! Bright pink backgrounds with bright green text = slightly blinded and irritated judge. Just FYI! ;)"
Some Q & A from Neopet's Editorial
Q: "I'm just looking for a little clarification after seeing today's User Lookup Spotlight winner (Tuesday the 25th). I was under the
impression that side accounts were not allowed to enter contests (beauty, art, gallery, Mystery Pic, etc.), so why is it that a side
account has won this award? If you could just clarify whether a side is allowed to enter this (or any other) contest that would be
fantastic."
A: "Only contests that give an NP/items reward are not open to side accounts. The User Lookup of the Week competition only offers a trophy."
Q: "...would you get credit on your main account or the side account if you submitted a gallery that's located on your side? It would be a bit frustrating
to win the spotlight and then not get to show off your trophy on the account that you use most often."
A: "Generally, if you enter a competition that is allowed to be done on a side account and then win the contest, if you make a special
request in your submission then we will do our best to credit your main account with the trophy."
